Villebois Village Center Featured in Current Issue of BUILDERnews Magazine
Vancouver, Washington-based publication BUILDERnews Magazine recently featured the Villebois community in Wilsonville, Oregon, in an article about the current resurgence of the “village philosophy” when it comes to the creation of master-planned communities across the nation.
This concept of “New Urbanism” actually hearkens back to a time before World War II when communities were designed around town squares and retail opportunities.
Award-winning master planner and developer, Costa Pacific Communities, took this idea of a complete community when it developed Villebois. A bustling mix of attached rowhomes and condominiums, shops, sidewalk cafés and more surrounded by a neighborhood of single-family homes and acres of park space, creates this socially sustainable, unique village experience – minutes from downtown Portland.
Inspired by the villages in Old World Europe, Costa Pacific Communities continues to develop Villebois with its residents in mind, nurturing an overarching sense of connectivity, sustainability and diversity within the neighborhood.
